The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted a workshop focusing on integrating indigenous games into the school curriculum.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote physical education and cultural heritage among students. Our teachers, Ms. Jamuna & Ms. Pushkala attended the workshop to implement the methodologies learnt in their class room. The workshop brought together educators, physical education experts, and resource people. Participants discussed the rich history and cultural significance of traditional Indian games such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and Gilli-Danda, and 50 more captivating resources were displayed out of their “Jadui Pitara,” the magic box. The aim was to explore how these games can be effectively incorporated into the KG curriculum of schools.Overall, the workshop was a significant step towards enriching the educational landscape with the vibrant and diverse traditions of India’s indigenous games.
